Em uma mensagem recente do GPSL (Grupo Pró Software Livre) da Unicamp, enviada por João S. O. Bueno, eu descobri que o Batman faz parte do kernel do Linux:
B.A.T.M.A.N. is an alias for Better Approach To Mobile Adhoc Networking. An ad hoc network is a decentralized network that does not rely on a preexisting infrastructure, such as routers in wired networks or access points in managed (infrastructure) wireless networks. Instead, each node participates in routing by forwarding data for other nodes, and so the determination of which nodes forward data is made dynamically based on the network connectivity. B.A.T.M.A.N. is a routing protocol implementation ot these networks. B.A.T.M.A.N is useful for emergency situations like natural disasters, military conflicts or Internet censorship. Haja criatividade :-)
